Your Mediator and Name Consultant

Hello Darlings. My name is Angela and I am an accredited family mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), and professional (baby) name consultant. I practice closed mediation online and via in-person sessions to support parents with creating parenting plans or parents returning to mediation for new issues. I also support any family members or disputing parties with conflict resolution.

I was born and raised in Toronto and hold an Honours B.A from The University of Toronto. After almost two decades working as an financial crimes investigator, I expanded into the field of family mediation during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am a single mom to a teen boy for whom I underwent years of a costly custody battle over. I have endured two rounds of family court that went to trials and I testified in both. I am also a survivor of intimate partner violence (IPV) and testified in criminal court as a witness for the Crown Attorney in that matter. I have extensive lived experience of the family court process and the intense pressure of cross-examination on the witness stand.

These experiences help me as a mediator because, not only am I a divorced mom, but I am also able to share first-hand with my clients what family court is like and show sensitivity to domestic violence situations. My goal is to support families through the difficult process of divorce and separation so they can avoid the cost and stress of the court system and be healthy strong parents for their children. My rate is $250/hour.

The Name Game

In addition to mediation, I am also a professional (baby) name consultant. Formerly known as "The Name Nanny", I am a mom and auntie to several sweeties, all of whom I thoroughly enjoyed naming or creating name recommendations for. I have spent years doing extensive research in the fields of Onomastics (study of names), and Anthroponymy (details of individual names). Through my self-created process, I learn about you, and your family, then create a list of name recommendations customized to you. Whether you are expecting your firstborn, multiples, adding to your bunch, want to change a name that you already used or was used for you, I would love the opportunity to be your full-service name consultant.

Name Packages

Full Package - $250

My full package includes the name review and ten name recommendations (given and middle). Submit a contact form and I will send you an intake form where you can share the names you like and some information about you and your family. Once you return it, I’ll provide some information about the names, my feedback, and my personalized recommendations for you.

Name Review - $100

Want an expert opinion on up to three names (given and middle) without any recommendations? Once you return it, I’ll provide some information about the names and my feedback.

Add-Ons - $50/each

Need suggestions for more than one given or middle name? Just let me know on your intake form and I am happy to include as many as you like.
